  I visited O'Charley's with my wife in the early evening on a weeknight. She's currently working on our first child and decided while passing by that the baby wanted fish & chips ... who am I to argue?
  
  It took a minute or two after entering for the hostess to notice us and find her way back to the desk, which unfortunately set the service expectation for the evening. Though everyone was quite pleasant and helpful the service was shockingly slow, especially as the restaurant was nearly empty.
  
  The food was about what I've come to expect from a large chain restaurant; it was tasty, but simultaneously clear that it's made by a cook rather than by a chef.
  
  All in all we left content with the food but rather underwhelmed by the service.

  Extremely slow service. We had to wait over an hour after ordering to finally receive our dinner. I believe this was true for every table on the restaurant, as many people were complaining and several cancelled their orders and walked out. There was something wrong with the kitchen apparently - either poorly managed or poorly trained. Food was decent, but not worth the 2+ hours of the time we spent there.
  
  It was a Monday evening. We are a family of 4. We arrived at 5:45pm, were seated at 6pm, ordered our dinner around 6:10pm, and received our dinner at 7:15pm. The manager brought our food to the table, apologized, gave us a 10% discount, and offered us two free slices of pie. All nice gestures. They were also slow to bring us our bill. It was nearly 8pm until we were able to leave. I do not think we'all be visiting the Owensboro O'Charley's again anytime soon.
